Electoral Board Special Meeting

Notice is hereby given that there will be a Special Meeting of the Hampton Electoral Board (the “Board”) on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hampton Voter Registrar’s Office, 101King’s Way, Hampton, Virginia 23669. This Special Meeting has been called for the purpose of personnel related matters involving the interview, discussion, and consideration of officer of election (“officer”) review of appointment, assignment, performance, demotion, and disciplining in closed session pursuant to Va. Code Ann. § 2.2-3711(A)(1) and further to take any as necessary action involving personnel related matters to include review of appointment, assignment, demotion, and disciplining (to include but not be limited to Va. Code Ann. § 24.2-109 removal) of officer of election, as well as to complete any remaining requirements related to annual Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) review, certification, and compliance. It is the intent of the Board that an Agenda will be published on or before October 15, 2025.

Information may be obtained from the Hampton Voter Registrar’s Office.Every city and county in Virginia has a three-member electoral board whose duties include: appointing the general registrar, training the officers of election, preparing ballots, conducting the election and certifying election results.
