Join us for a captivating cultural presentation by Chief Babs, a performer, artist, and tradition-bearer from Northern Ghana. Through storytelling, music, and live dance, Chief Babs will share the deep cultural roots and meanings behind time-honored dances from various regions of Ghana.

Chief Babs will share the stories behind his artwork explaining about Dagomba culture and why each dance was done. Afterward he will show examples of the costumes and how they are worn, followed by a demonstration of the dance.

About our presenter, Chief Babs
Chief Babs was born in Northern Ghana where he performed as part of a cultural group. This experience taught him to appreciate the cultural stories and dances from many regions of Ghana. After immigrating to the United States, Chief Babs continues to share the cultural traditions of his homeland through artwork, music, and dance.
